Workshops at Universidad Latina de America Morelia : The LADF approach

Working with the LADF approach in applying design to sustainable projects

In July 2006, LADF was asked to execute a series of workshops at the Universidad Latina de America. A team from LADF consisting out of Gabriela Bustamante, Jose Jeroen Nas, Liesbeth Fit and Vera Winthagen took a group of students and teachers for some days into a world they had never known....

At the explanation of what they would have to dive into, some students had difficulty to grasp the broadness of the concept. LADF challenged them into making a brand, marketing approach, cost model and distribution model for a brand of sustanaible products. We start with the thought that a designer has a wider responsibility and needs a wider skill set than just the product aspects.

Several groups were created and the LADF mentors helped, challenged and coached each group towards tangible results. There was a lot to do in only 3 days...

For many, they had to look over the borders of their work, studies and sometimes even expectations and ambitions.

But, the fun started with the first presentations about the approach chosen by each group!

Telling about yourself starts with knowing yourself.

So, what is he saying now?
